At Sol Beach Yangyang, where the deep blue East Sea stretches out in full view, the “2025 Leadership Team Building Program” was successfully held over two days, from May 15 to 16, 2025. Bringing together approximately 180 managers from across the company, the event was organized under the slogan “T.O.P (Team of Power): United Strength, Building the Future Together,” serving as a meaningful opportunity to connect, align, and share a collective vision for the organization.
A Time to Understand and Connect as One
The program began on a composed note with a safety briefing followed by a message from the CEO. Emphasizing the importance of “the power of togetherness” in an ever-changing business environment, the CEO expressed hope that the event would go beyond a simple gathering to become a platform for building mutual understanding and trust. Participants listened attentively, their anticipation naturally building for the sessions ahead.
Led by an energetic facilitator, attendees were divided into 12 groups and began a series of team-based activities. Programs such as “Navigator of Collaboration,” “Tower of Trust,” “Communication Reality Check Cards,” and “Collaboration & Creativity Project” were designed not merely as games, but as hands-on experiences to explore the essence of teamwork and communication. What started as a slightly awkward atmosphere gradually eased, giving way to laughter and cheers throughout the venue. As members from different departments exchanged ideas, navigated trial and error, and worked toward shared outcomes, they rediscovered the true meaning of being a team.
In particular, the “Tower of Trust” activity highlighted the importance of mutual trust and clear role allocation. The process of encouraging and coordinating with one another to accomplish the mission vividly demonstrated the collaborative values essential for organizational growth. By the end of the session, the initial awkwardness had faded, replaced by a warm environment filled with genuine encouragement and support.
During the evening session, 17 new employees were formally introduced. Welcomed by warm applause from their senior colleagues, the newcomers—initially a bit nervous—soon responded with bright smiles, marking their first steps as members of the organization. This was followed by the “Communication & Empathy Quiz Show,” a lively and engaging program that fostered understanding across generations and roles. Laughter and applause filled the room as participants tackled questions together, creating a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
United Strength Shining Through Passion and Challenge
On the morning of the second day, the program resumed against the backdrop of the ocean, reinvigorating participants with fresh energy. The highlight of the day, “HALLA Golden Bell,” themed “Who Will Be the Final Winner?”, unfolded in both team and individual formats, creating moments of excitement and tension. Questions ranged from knowledge about the cement industry and company operations to general trivia, putting participants’ focus and quick thinking to the test.
In the individual round, tension peaked as the final question approached. Ultimately, Mr. Tae-Young Park from the Safety & Health Management Office claimed first place. He was followed by Mr. Yong-Geun Lim from the Compliance Support Team and Mr. Dong-Gyu Lee from the Technical Support Team, who secured second and third place, respectively—earning enthusiastic applause from their peers. More than just a social gathering, this team-building program provided a valuable opportunity to share ideas and values while collectively envisioning the future of the organization. Through shared laughter, collaboration, and meaningful experiences, participants rediscovered the true meaning of “united strength” and reaffirmed their commitment to fostering better teamwork and communication in their respective roles. Like the continuous waves of the sea, the memory of these two days will remain a strong foundation that binds the organization together amid ongoing change.
