Technical employees of Halla Cement came together as one, raising passionate cheers and strengthening their commitment to unity and teamwork. From November 4 to 15, the company held its “2024 Halla Cement Technical Employees Team Building Program” over four separate sessions at Vivaldi Park. A total of around 330 technical employees participated in the event, which was conducted as a two-day, one-night program for each session under the slogan, “A Roar of Passion, One United Halla Cement!” The event was designed to foster a shared sense of unity among all participants.
Strengthening Communication and Unity to Achieve Corporate Vision and Build a World-Class Safety Culture
Held every two years, Halla Cement’s technical employee team-building program is a special event aimed at encouraging communication and camaraderie among technical staff from worksites across the country. This year’s program focused on reinforcing the company’s vision, “ECO TOGETHER 2025,” as well as its commitment to establishing a world-class safety culture. To support these goals, the first day featured a large-scale card section performance titled “One Mind, Halla Cement!” where participants worked together to deliver messages centered on safety and unity. Employees also attended a special lecture, “The Communication Skills We Truly Need,” which used games and interactive activities to teach effective communication methods. In addition, safety leadership training sessions covering risk assessment and human error emphasized the belief that all accidents are preventable and encouraged employees to work together toward creating an even safer workplace.
On the second day, participants enjoyed a team-based competition called “War of the Horses,” inspired by the traditional Korean game Yutnori, which added energy and excitement while promoting teamwork. As the event is held only once every two years, the venue was filled throughout the program with cheerful laughter and warm conversations as colleagues from worksites nationwide reunited. This year, in particular, drew attention for the noticeably larger number of younger employees following increased recruitment of new hires in recent years.
At the beginning of the event, some younger employees appeared somewhat hesitant around their senior colleagues. However, as the program progressed, they gradually became more relaxed and actively engaged with others, creating a lively and friendly atmosphere. It was a meaningful moment that reflected the true purpose of the team-building program: breaking down generational barriers through mutual respect and communication.
